Qualified 501(c)3 organizations are invited to submit requests that address one or more of the priorities and criteria outlined in these guidelines. You will receive an acknowledgement that we have received your request. Grant requests will be made on a quarterly basis as follows:
- Grants to be awarded in March must be received by December 31.
- Grants to be awarded in June must be received by March 31.
- Grants to be awarded in September must be received by June 30.
- Grants to be awarded in December must be received by September 30.
Support to an organization or program is limited to three consecutive years. Resubmissions can be made after a two-year hiatus.
Grant requests should be for a minimum of $5,000.
Please adhere to the following process when submitting a request.The Center for Community Programs reserve the right to approve or deny any application at its sole discretion.
- Review our program focus and grant criteria.
- Submit a written request with responses to the following questions:
- What is the issue your organization is addressing?
- What is your organization's mission statement
- What are your experience and capabilities in dealing with this issue?
- What is the scope of your program, including objectives, timelines and expected outcomes?
- What communities, audience or people are the beneficiaries of this program?
- What results do you expect for the program? How will you track and measure the results?
- How will you communicate those results
- What is the time frame of the program?
- How is your program different from like programs that may also be addressing the issue you have identified?
- How will you sustain this program after our support ends?
- will you be seeking additional support? If so, please describe.
- Submit your request in writing, outlining your responses to the key questions, along with the following supporting information:
An annual report or other information about your organization, its leadership, advisory board, current programs, budget, financial statement and a list of other current or proposed contributions.
A copy of your organization's IRS tax-exempt 501(c)3 letter of qualification.

- Written Acknowledgement Requirement:
According to IRS regulations, all recipients of grants of $250 or more must acknowledge the grant in writing to The Center for Community Programs. The acknowledgement must state the donee's name and address, the deductible amount of the grant, the date of the donation, and whether the donee did or did not provide any goods or services in return for the gift.
