New community non profit commences fundraising

The Center for Community Programs ("CCP"), a newly established non profit in Dallas, Texas, announces the commencement of a multi-year $35,000,000 fundraising campaign designed to provide it with the funds needed to strengthen communities nationwide. The mission of CCP is to create strategies and develop programs to improve and enhance the educational, cultural, and economic viability of American communities.

"We intend this to be an organization that develops creative partnerships with both private and public entities, so that together we can build stronger communities in disadvantaged areas." said David Marcus, Chairman of CCP. "In addition to a selected number of our own programs, we will be making charitable grants to non profits that can enhance the fabric of all communities." he said.

CCP further announces that it has appointed Philanthropic Fund Development ("PFD"), a Dallas based full-service fundraising firm, to manage its fundraising activities. PFD not only manages campaigns, but also directly raises funds through major gift solicitation, grantsmanship, special events, and endowments.

"We are delighted to assist CCP with this long term fundraising effort," said Steven Silver, President of PFD. "PFD offers small to medium size charitable organizations a professional development capability that they could not achieve with their own resources, and we will be able to positively impact the CCP mission through our expertise." he said.

The first program of CCP will be focused on community education, and the improvement of tolerance curriculum in schools nationwide. More details will be announced shortly, and for further information see www.centerforcommunityprograms.com
