Christopher Reeve to headline MS Care event

MS Care Foundation announces that Christopher Reeve will be the Guest Speaker at a fundraising Dinner to be held on May 1, 2004 at the Hotel Inter-Continental in Dallas. "An actor, director and activist, Christopher Reeve is above all else inspirational." said Danny Wettreich, Chairman of MS Care. "Since he was paralyzed in an equestrian competition in 1995, Christopher Reeve has not only put a human face on spinal cord injury but has motivated the medical community and numerous patients to strive even more to achieve their goals. We are honored that he will be with us at our annual fundraiser" he said.

Founded in Dallas by Mr. & Mrs. Danny Wettreich early in 2000, after they witnessed the effects of Multiple Sclerosis ("MS") on a family member, MS Care Foundation improves the quality of life for MS sufferers who have limited resources. They provide assistance with the purchase of medications, wheelchairs, and walkers, the payment of medical visits and visiting nurses, physical therapy and medical procedures. Based in Dallas, Texas and presently supporting a leading Texas MS program affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center as well as other local facilities and individuals, it is now seeking to provide assistance nationwide.

MS Care further announces that Philanthropic Fund Development ("PFD"), a Dallas based full-service fundraising firm, has agreed to manage the fundraising activities of MS Care, and will be doing so at no cost. "As Danny Wettreich is Chairman of both MS Care and PFD, we are pleased to donate our services to this great cause." said Steven Silver, President of PFD.
