Rocky Top rehabilitative therapy programs to expand
following new funding campaign
Rock Top Therapy Center ("Rocky Top"), Keller, Texas, announces that it will be expanding its rehabilitative programs after it successfully concludes a new fundraising campaign designed to raise an additional $5,000,000 for the Center. Rocky Top is one of only 173 riding centers accredited through the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, and was established in 1990 by Doug and Vivian Newton who understood the physical and emotional benefits that horseback riding could offer individuals with disabilities. "We currently address the needs of over 200 emotionally, mentally and physically challenged individuals each week, but we need to expand our services to cope with the increasing demands of rehabilitation centers, hospitals, schools and other organizations that assist the disabled or disadvantaged." said Doug Newton, Chairman of Rocky Top. In order to develop its campaign, Rocky Top further announces that it has appointed Philanthropic Fund Development ("PFD"), a Dallas based full-service fundraising firm, to manage its fundraising activities. PFD not only manages campaigns, but also directly raises funds through major gift solicitation, grantsmanship, special events, and endowments. "Rocky Top is one of the premier therapeutic riding centers in North Texas " said Steven Silver, President of PFD. "Its equitherapy programs are proven to provide great benefits for those suffering from disorders ranging from Multiple Sclerosis to Cerebral Palsy, and we are pleased to be able to assist in the fundraising efforts of this fine non profit organization" he said. PFD offers small to medium size charitable organizations a professional development capability that they could not achieve with their own resources. More details of future fundraising activities will be announced shortly, and for further information see www.rockytoptherapy.org and www.fundingcharities.com Press contacts: |
